Quad is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator for our Hartford, WI plant.  The Clamp Truck Operator transports the roll paper within the plant ensuring presses have the necessary amount of paper, unloads and inspects incoming paper, and loads outgoing paper.  The starting wage for this position is $20.00  / hour based on relevant work experience and employment history.

Shift Information

\n

\n
• 12-hour permanent night shift (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) - 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week - Includes a $3.00 night shift premium.   
\n
• The first 2-3 weeks of training would be on the day shift starting at 7 a.m.
\n

\n

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

\n

Some responsibilities of the position are as follows:  

\n

\n
• Completes the daily maintenance checklist at shift start.
\n
• Moves roll paper to presses, ensuring correct type and size of paper per schedule.
\n
• Removes from presses and places back in inventory unused roll paper upon completion of jobs.
\n
• Unloads trucks and rail cars of roll paper, entering accurately into inventory and placing in appropriate bays for storage.
\n
• Checks and ensures bar code labels are correct for paper received.
\n
• Any roll paper received that is defective is properly reported and stored separately as necessary.
\n
• Loads trucks and rail cars with roll paper being transferred to other facilities.
\n
• Completes all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
\n
• Works closely with the press room crews to ensure their paper needs are being met.
\n
• Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Forklift, Clamp Truck, Roll Truck experience is strongly preferred. 
\n
• The successful candidate must be dependable, responsible and able to work independently with minimal supervision, and be a team player in a fast paced, detail-oriented production environment. This position requires good math, verbal and written skills as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize job needs.   Being bilingual  (Spanish/English) also a plus! 
\n
• Intermediate Computer skills required.
\n
• The position requires the ability to lift 10-20 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects. 
\n
• The ability to work 12- hour permanent night shift (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) including weekends, and holidays working 3 - 4 days a week.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed. 
\n

The actual rate of pay offered will vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package may also include overtime and shift differentials, depending on the role.
