Job Description

Our healthcare client is looking for a talented Orthopedic Technician to add to their team. This position operates onsite in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Appropriately fit patients with braces, both off the shelf and custom braces

• Instruct patients in proper fitting and usage of DME products

• Apply and remove casts and splints

• Instruct patient in proper cast care

• Review new / proposed braces for applicability to patient population and make meaningful recommendations to Physicians

• Maintain adequate inventory levels to accommodate usage

• Audit all DME invoices for accuracy

• Negotiate product pricing with vendors

• Obtain insurance authorization to dispense products as necessary

• Stay abreast of insurance company protocols for authorizations and dispensing

• Assist medical assistants with their duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast paced Orthopedic environment

• Ability to handle the demands of multiple providers

• Current CA state license
