APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Sterling Heights, MI looking to add a Pain Management Physician to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate, comprehensive care for patients experiencing chronic and acute pain. Keep reading for more details!

What will your day look like:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations that consider medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, mental health, and social factors contributing to pain.
  • Develop personalized, holistic care plans that may include medication management, physical rehabilitation, interventional procedures, and integrative therapies such as mindfulness, nutrition, and stress reduction techniques.
  • Prescribe and manage medications responsibly, with an emphasis on minimizing dependency and promoting overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including physical therapists, behavioral health professionals, acupuncturists, and nutritionists—to provide coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families on the relationship between pain, movement, diet, mental health, and lifestyle habits.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize function, comfort, and quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of care, prescriptions, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed on advancements in integrative pain medicine and evidence-based alternative therapies.

What we are looking for:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Family Medicine with pain focus.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in integrative or holistic medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient-centered philosophy.
  • Commitment to ethical and compassionate care practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or training in integrative or functional medicine, acupuncture, or nutrition counseling.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary wellness teams.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and mind-body modalities.
