Job Description
Position Summary:
Serves as the initial and last point of contact for all patients, visitors, and employees at Guthrie Health. Assists patients and visitors with various services in a safe and timely manner. Responsible for parking vehicles as requested and monitoring and directing traffic flow in immediate work area.
Education, License & Cert:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Previous customer service is required. Must be able to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions. Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. Must be 18 years of age.
Essential Functions:
1. Engages with all patients, visitors, and staff upon arrival and departure of Guthrie Health entrances and in a friendly, professional manner.
2. Assists patients and visitors in and out of their vehicles, determines the appropriate methods and equipment to maintain their safety, i.e. wheelchair, walker, or ambulatory assist.
3. Evaluates when additional assistance is needed and how to respond in a medical emergency.
4. Maintains the safety of patients and visitors, taking special precautions in extreme weather conditions respecting their physical and medical conditions.
5. Determines the proper PPE to use in all cases, i.e., seat covers, gloves, hand sanitizer, masks.
6. Parks and returns all customer vehicles as requested, ensuring the safety of the vehicle and Guthrie property; documents the vehicle location and secures the vehicles keys until the point of pick up.
7. Monitors and directs traffic flow through the entrances and valet parking areas, maintaining an orderly and uncongested entrance.
8. Contacts Courtesy bus driver to arrange for transportation of patients and visitors from the entrance to the parking lot and other areas of the campus.
9. Complies with all state, local, and system traffic regulations.
Other Duties:
1. Performs duties of Courtesy Escort/Transporter as needed.
2. Monitors inventory of wheelchairs at lobby entrance and request as needed.
3. Provides directions and/or information to patients and visitors related to Guthrie and the community.
4. Assists patients and visitors in getting assistance as needed for vehicle problems.
5. Attends mandatory monthly department meetings.
6. It is understood that this description is not intended to be allinclusive and that other duties may be assigned as necessary in the performance of this position.
Pay rate ranges from $17.00 - $22.37 per hour.
