Our client, a nonprofit located in downtown Boston, is seeking a Payroll & Onboarding Specialist to support the bi-weekly payroll and onboarding process for a high volume of hourly employees involved in grant-funded workforce initiatives. This onsite role is responsible for managing timekeeping, reviewing onboarding documentation, ensuring payroll compliance, and serving as the primary contact for payroll operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration.
Requirements
• 2+ years of timekeeping, onboarding, payroll, or other relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Payroll Systems
Preferences
• Experience working with various funding streams
• Knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws
