Poultry Processing Specialist (1st & 2nd Shift)
Natural State Processing
1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm
2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-midnight
Natural State Processing is a USDA inspected traditional poultry processing company. Our core business is providing high quality custom poultry processing for our customers. We humanely harvest, skillfully cut, and carefully package into retail ready products.

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The Poultry Production Specialist’s primary role is to cross-train so that they are able to assist team members with all aspects of poultry production, including cutting, trimming, portioning, grading, and quality control. Natural State is looking for a team player who is reliable and understands their dependability is important for the team’s success. A successful candidate pays attention to detail, takes pride in their work, understands and practices food safety, and is committed to quality. Additionally, s/he is committed to improving overall performance and is never satisfied with the status quo.
The Poultry Production Specialist reports to the Room Lead. S/he must develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers. S/he must be a team player who is reliable and understands their dependability is important for the team’s success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all safety practices

Attend all staff and department meetings
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
One year of experience in poultry production preferred
Understands the necessary safety requirements when operating in a food preparation environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting
heavy loads of up to 60 pounds, etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination

Compensation: $12.00 per hour. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done. Experience is preferred but not necessary. On the job training is provided.
