Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with advanced expertise in Power BI, SQL database programming, and data warehouse concepts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, developing insightful dashboards, and delivering actionable reports to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Location : Brea, CA (Onsite)

Salary Range: $ 82,200 - $110,000

Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Utilize Power BIs advanced features, including DAX, Row-Level Security (RLS), custom visuals, and Power Query.

Understanding of data modeling concepts and the ability to clean, shape, and transform raw data into usable formats

Familiarity with Power BI Embedded and Power BI Report Server

ERP Data Sources and API Interfaces:

Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs to retrieve and manipulate data.

Experience with API authentication methods (e.g., OAuth, API keys)

Knowledge of JSON/XML data formats and parsing techniques

Experience querying and extracting data from ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SyteLine)

Experience working with data within Microsoft Dataverse preferred.

SQL Database Programming:

Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or databases.

Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance and scalability.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous testing and validation.

Data Warehouse Management:

Work with data warehouse architectures including star and snowflake schemas.

Support ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized data warehouse.

Monitor and maintain data warehouse performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.

Identify and remediate issues with Data Warehouse jobs and processes.

What You Bring:

Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Power BI Analyst.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and custom visualizations.

Strong experience in SQL database programming, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

Hands-on experience with data warehouse concepts, including ETL processes, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.

Proficiency in SQL Server, Azure SQL, or other relational database management systems. Familiarity with OLAP multidimensional databases a plus.

Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) is preferred.

Expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service (publishing, sharing, and managing reports).
