About the Role
The Company is in search of a visionary President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of creating a compassionate and caring community for all animals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the organization, including the administration of all programs and services. This role demands a leader with a deep commitment to the ethical and humane treatment of animals, who can inspire and modernize the organization while ensuring financial sustainability and expanding community engagement. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to implement long-range and strategic plans, and will be the chief ambassador, promoting the company's mission and values both locally and nationally. Key responsibilities for the President/CEO include championing animal welfare, maintaining and enhancing lifesaving initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with government officials, donors, and the community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial oversight, strategic planning, and organizational development, and will be a data-driven decision-maker with the ability to lead through complex challenges. They must also be a compassionate and approachable leader, with high emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a trauma-informed leadership approach. A background in a senior leadership role within a nonprofit organization, particularly in animal welfare or a related field, is essential, as is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with an advanced degree being preferred.
