Medical Device - Lead Catheter Design Engineer

A growing medical device company is seeking a Lead Catheter Design Engineer to lead the development of high-voltage, energy-delivery catheters used for non-thermal tissue ablation. This hands-on role involves taking devices from concept through commercialization in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop energy-delivery catheters using extrusion, braiding, lamination, and other advanced techniques
• Build and test prototypes, analyze performance data, and iterate designs
• Drive design controls and documentation (FMEAs, DHFs, design reviews, V&V)
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and external partners to ensure scalable production
• Support bench, in-vivo, and clinical testing

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• 5+ years of medical device development experience; 3+ years in catheter design
• Experience with SolidWorks, GD&T, and common catheter manufacturing methods
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and energy-based therapies preferred
• Startup experience a plus
