Team Introduction
Our team is within the Global E-commerce Governance and Experience organization, focusing on moderation. We strive to provide trustworthy and excellent experience for every user of TikTok Shop. Our main responsibility is to leverage LLM, machine learning, and AI to develop tools and platforms to improve moderation quality and efficiency. We are looking for an intern to join us to support our key initiatives.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.
Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:

Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
Monday, June 9
Monday, June 23
We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities
- Build content security review platform to improve review efficiency and quality by optimizing human review content, tools and strategies, coordinating review manpower and other resources;
- Build platform capabilities to reduce operation and R&D costs, and improve efficiency of audit tools and strategies;
- Own the product design and drive product development and launch;
- Work with cross functional teams to deep dive on data and processes to identify opportunities to improve moderation efficiency and quality, develop product ideas based on the findings;
- Collaborate with technical and nontechnical cross-functional stakeholders to define product strategy, build product frameworks, evaluate trade-offs and metrics, and lead the product development and launch.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a full time MBA or a related technical field.
- Hands-on product management experience.
- Strong logical and critical thinking skills, utilizing a facts and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Highly analytical, with a laser focus on user needs. Proven ability to define a product roadmap in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty. Data and action-oriented, even when limited data is available.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a scrappy and proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in developing moderation or risk prevention related products.
- Experience in developing ML and AI related products.
