ABOUT THE POSTION:

We are seeking a motivated Leadman responsible for supervising and maintain order in the warehouse. This nonexempt (hourly) position typically reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager. The position requires working in accordance with Triple-S Steel job requirements and Safe Methods of Work. Overtime hours may be required to meet our customers needs.

Rate of pay Range $22-$28 Doe

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to Partners and to the Operations team
• Help ensure the efficient operation of the team
• Tracking of inbound railcars for unloading
• Manages the daily Saw Schedule; assigns orders to operators on both shifts, programs the daily saw production requirements, distributes and collects production paperwork
• Assist with special projects and other general office tasks, as needed
• Exercise independent judgment in making day-to-day decisions
• Prepares monthly reports including gathering necessary data and making copies for distribution
• Maintains proper filing systems
• Responsible for the workflow of a specific departmental function
• Initiates action items from manager's meeting notes and distribute
• Assists manager with special projects as requested
• Provides assistance to clients, vendors, and subcontractor as necessary
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Provides backup support for other departments, inventory control, shipping, receiving and traffic
• Certified on crane and forklifts to assist is warehouse as needed
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
• Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.
