About the Role:

As a Property Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the organization's financial health. From overseeing multi-property financial activities to collaborating with leadership on strategic decisions, this role is integral to the organization's success and long-term sustainability.

What You'll do as a Property Accountant:
  • Oversee the full spectrum of daily accounting activities, including maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts payable and receivable, and tracking grant-related financials across multiple properties.
  • Deliver precise and timely financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support leadership in evaluating organizational performance.
  • Facilitate seamless audit processes by preparing and organizing all required documentation with accuracy.
  • Maintain expertise in nonprofit accounting regulations, tax requirements, and relevant financial legislation to keep the organization aligned with legal standards.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 4+ years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in real estate or property management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
The Property Accountant role is onsite in Denver, Colorado (parking provided). Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check.
