Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

The Company

Our client is a mission driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been providing affordable, high-quality healthcare services to underserved and uninsured populations across Indiana since 1977. The organization operates ten healthcare centers, eight Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program locations, a Mobile Health Unit, and in-house Pharmacy services. They deliver integrated primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to patients of all ages and backgrounds throughout the state.

The Position

Our client is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their outpatient behavioral health team in Peru, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMHNP to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

Compensation & Benefits Include:

  • $114,716 – $128,481 Salary (Experience-Based)
  • $20,000 additional reward and retention bonus opportunity, paid in allotments

Requirements

  • Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active Indiana medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license / prescriptive authority (post-hire)
  • 2+ years of clinical experience preferred community health experience a plus
  • BLS certification
  • Spanish-speaking skills preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • 100% outpatient behavioral health
  • Manage patients of all ages with a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
  • 35 patient care hours and 5 administrative hours per week
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment plans and medications
  • Collaborate with integrated primary care and behavioral health teams
  • Participate in clinic staff meetings and quality initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational standards
  • Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR
