Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for engaging with customers, providing knowledgeable recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role includes assisting with inventory, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The ideal candidate is friendly, customer-focused, and eager to learn about beer, wine, and spirits.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service.
• Assist customers with product selection based on their preferences and needs.
• Answer questions about beer, wine, and spirits, including pairing suggestions and new arrivals.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking and rotating products.
• Support merchandising efforts, including promotional displays and signage updates.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system when needed, including processing transactions.
• Monitor and comply with all legal alcohol sales regulations, including ID verification.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Passion for beer, wine, and spirits (willingness to learn is a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
