Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Counselor to support middle school students over the course of a full semester. Situated in Philadelphia, PA, this contract position involves managing a middle school caseload and providing counseling services for approximately 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions tailored to middle school students
- Address social, emotional, and academic challenges faced by students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate case records
- Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Appropriate counseling certification or licensure for school counseling
- Experience working with middle school aged children preferred
- Strong munication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information
