Search Engine Marketing Operations - Senior Associate Overview The Search Engine Marketing Operations Senior Associate will manage marketing campaign execution for U.S. Card’s paid SEM channel. Responsibilities include new campaign launches, test launches, process improvements, and optimization across our active paid search programs. The Associate will be an expert in Google, Bing, and other relevant platforms, staying current with paid search updates and best practices. Responsibilities Monitor paid search marketing trends and generate insights to identify opportunities for campaign improvement and optimization. Daily management of search campaigns from planning & execution to analysis and reporting. Carry out campaign management tasks including optimization, budget control, and forecasting. Develop and execute campaign testing (ad copy, landing page, audience, channel expansion). Coordinate across internal teams (Compliance, Brand Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics, Data, Technology, etc.) to execute SEM strategies end‑to‑end. Demonstrate self‑starter attitude strong organizational skills, ownership mentality, prioritization ability, and rapid learning of new digital marketing and SEM‑specific technology tools. Show solid understanding of performance marketing, conversions, and online customer acquisition. Work effectively with high‑performing teammates and partners across the enterprise. Comfortable working with large data sets in Excel/Google Sheets and familiar with common performance marketing metrics. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or military experience. At least 2 years of experience in paid search engine marketing. At least 1 year of experience planning and implementing SEM strategies utilizing Google and Microsoft ad platforms. At least 1 year of experience analyzing and evaluating campaign performance. At least 1 year of experience in project management. Preferred Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in search engine marketing with responsibilities overseeing high volume and multi‑million dollar media budgets. At least 2 years of experience in project management. At least 1 year of experience using Skai or SA360 platforms. Compensation Salary ranges (annual, full‑time): McLean, VA: $94,600 – $107,900 Richmond, VA: $86,000 – $98,200 Compensation may include performance‑based incentive cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives depending on the plan.
