Summary:
Baesman Group. Inc. has an excellent opportunity for someone with NO EXPERIENCE but has the desire to start in a role that leads to a career in printing. We are looking for an Offset Second Press Operator for our third shift operations. This position is responsible for the timely and cost-effective production of quality printed materials by acting as a feeder operator in conjunction with a team leader on any of the printing presses. Must be hardworking and willing to learn . Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly move/lift up to 50 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform assigned activity to produce a completed job, ensure the completion of the job with respect to company quality and quantity standards.
• Assist Press Operator in set-up of machines
• Obtain supplies needed for setups and correct material allocated to the present job
• Determine material needs, fill out material request form and work with shipping department for staging
• Review specs such as; Job Order, Print Master, Proofs, and Samples
• Participate in cleaning and maintenance work on machines
• Load paper stock and maintain feeder operations
• Add ink to ink reservoir to maintain a specified level.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork
• Follow and comply with all safety rules, work rules, and regulations.
• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned work area and throughout the department work space.
• Must be willing to take direction from the pressman in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
• Dependable and exceptional work ethic.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Mechanically inclined, ability to problem solve
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
