Senior Accountant 

Job Summary

Company is seeking an experienced and engaged professional to join our dynamic team as an experienced senior accountant for a privately owned transportation company. Responsibilities

• Support and contribute to all aspects of an accounting department
• Utilize logistics software and tools to track and analyze key performance indicators
• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and operational efficiencies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and reduce costs
• Identify trends and opportunities
• Prepare and publish timely, monthly and quarterly financial statements & tax filings
• Prepare A/R, A/P and weekly cash flow reports 
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting 
• Support CFO in relationships with Financial institutions, CPAs and auditors 
• Prepare and analyze annual budgets
• Support the Human Resources function of Company
• Instill and support a culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability and transparency within the finance department and across company 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience 
• Substantial experience managing $15MM+ in annual revenue 
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (US GAAP)
• Strong information systems/ERP system experience
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends and make strong profitable recommendations based on analysis 
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks
