Job Description: Conflicts Analyst II (Contract Role – 3+ Months, Remote PST Schedule)

Position Overview:
The Conflicts Analyst II is a vital member of our Governance team within the Information Security and Governance (ISG) department. This role involves driving governance processes and technology to ensure compliance with Firm policies and client outside counsel guidelines. The analyst will work closely with legal support operations and technology teams, as well as interact significantly with partners, clients, and other departments. This is a 100% remote position operating on a PST work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct conflicts checks for new clients/matters, pitches, and prospective attorneys/professionals.
  • Prepare and analyze conflicts reports to identify potential issues and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas such as new matter intake, ethical walls, records management, outside counsel guidelines, and audit letters.
  • Document and maintain matter lifecycle data in Intapp 3E and other systems.
  • Manage the intake review process and provide administrative support for new matters.
  • Analyze and review engagement letters and conflict waivers; evaluate and set up ethical walls as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain ethical screens, including updating screened employees and disabling ethical walls.
  • Handle administrative records requests from clients and other departments.
  • Drive the outside counsel guideline and audit letter review processes, including drafting responses and tracking deadlines.
  • Advise attorneys and professionals on Firm governance-related policies and procedures.
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare reports for senior management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in risk and compliance initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in law firm conflicts, with expertise in conflict clearance.
  • At least 2 years of experience using the Intapp tool for data input, research, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of audit letters, waivers, and related governance processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in conflicts database systems (e.g., Intapp, 3E) and familiar with project management principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality service.

Tools & Technology:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and conflicts database systems (e.g., Intapp, 3E) is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and document management systems is desired.

Additional Notes: This role focuses on running conflict checks and clearance to prevent conflicts of interest, guided by the client’s general counsel. The successful candidate will have significant experience with Intapp and expertise in handling audit letters and conflict waivers.
