San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is looking for a Senior GIS Analyst to take the lead on our Enterprise GIS architecturesupporting major airport initiatives, streamlining data workflows, and mentoring a growing GIS team. You are excited about this opportunity because you will:

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the Enterprise GIS system architecture.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain GIS ESRI-based applications to enhance functionality and usability for internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain automated ETL processes to streamline data integration and improve operational efficiency.
• Integrate real-time geographic streaming data into decision engines and applications.
• Maintain enterprise GIS data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality control standards through QA/QC operations and automation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify GIS business needs and deliver customized solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
• Deliver GIS analytics and solutions to support major airport initiatives.
• Conduct field surveys to collect and validate data on airport infrastructures, ensuring comprehensive and accurate records.
• Co-create integrated solutions and processes with BIM Integration Team members under IIM.
• Assign tasks to GIS team members, including GIS Assistant Analysts and interns to ensure teams goals are met efficiently and effectively.
• Provide GIS support to airport teams, participate in departmental meetings, and foster collaboration to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

An associate degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, economics, finance, computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND

Experience:

Three (3) years in the information systems field, including system analysis, business process design, development and implementation of business application solutions or IT project management.

Substitution:

Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two [2] years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units / forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in one of the fields above or a closely related field.

Desirable Qualifications:

The stated desirable qualifications may be considered at the end of the selection process when candidates are referred to for hiring:

• 5 or more years of experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining custom GIS ESRI-based applications, with a focus on automation and enhanced user functionality.
• Proficiency in leading enterprise GIS architecture design and implementation, including integration with complex business systems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, planners, environmental scientists, and IT specialists, to ensure GIS solutions align with project goals and organizational objectives.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders to identify GIS business solutions, translate needs into actionable plans, and foster strong cross-functional relationships.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated ETL processes through the use of FME, managing large datasets, and ensuring data quality through robust QA/QC operations.
• 3 or more years of experience supervising and mentoring junior level GIS staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring successful completion of projects.
• Familiarity with GIS applications in an airport, transportation, or large infrastructure or campus settings.
• Expertise in monitoring and optimizing GIS server performance, including content management and troubleshooting.
• 2 or more years of experience in the integration of BIM and GIS solutions, processes and standards.
• Practical experience conducting field surveys for asset management, including use of GPS and mobile GIS tools.
