Responsibilities and Goals
The responsibilities of the Signage and Print Production Manager is to oversee and manage the printing process from start to finish. This includes ensuring that all printing and signage projects are completed on time and within budget, overseeing and coordinating the workflow of the production process, overseeing personnel, evaluating and improving production processes, and ensuring quality and cost control. The Print Production Manager is also responsible for maintaining and improving customer relationships, staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies, and training and managing staff.
He/she will be responsible for cost-effective planning, designing, processing, production, shipping and installing of all signage and printing orders of the company. This role will be in direct liaison with the sales team. The Production Manager contributes to the success of Publi Signs by ensuring projects are produced on-time, within budget, with the highest quality and uncompromising safe. He / she will also need to be working on weekends and holidays and be proficient in French since our big customers are French speaking.
Qualifications
Preparation of high level, high precision and high cost production files.
Comprehensive use of FlexiSignPro, Flexi SignPro Mutoh Edition - design software specifically for the signage industry.
Use of ArtCam Pro Software for 3D Machining.
Use of Vertelith RIP Software for large format digital printers.
Use of Lightburn Software for Laser Cutters.
Familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photosho, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, G-Suite.
Operation of multiple Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR Pro Large Format Digital Printers.
Operation of Camtech CNC machine 12'x6'.
Operation and maintenance of Boss Laser Cutter (CO2) HP-3655 GEN V.
Operation of Graphtec FC8000-160 vinyl plotter with print registration.
Operation of 60'' wide ACL Compadre laminator.
Operation of Rollover table 5'x8' for vinyl and pre-mask lamination.
Operation of power tools.
Possess basic carpentry and painting techniques.
Operation of Xerox 700 Digital Color Press.
Sign Installations in various settings.
Vinyl installations on vehicles, murals, glass, floors and various substrates.
Working knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software.
Preparation of databases, distribution lists, and shipping labels using UPS Worldship.
Ability to read architectural drawings in English and in French.
Ability to multitask at a fast pace.
Manage production schedule to meet tight deadlines.
Possess ambidextrous abilities and pronounced fine motor control.
Speaking and writing French is an asset
