Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Execute month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
Manage fixed assets, including tracking acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation schedules.
Manage monthly reporting and maintain city business licenses, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Assist in preparing for external and internal audits by compiling accurate documentation and addressing inquiries.
Uphold and enhance internal controls and compliance processes, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Provide ad-hoc reporting and take on duties aligned with organizational priorities, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Collaborate across departments to provide financial insights and support, promoting a team-focused work environment.
Assists in general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
A minimum of 4 years of corporate accounting experience
Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with audit processes and financial reporting compliance.
