Job Description

The Staff Chaplain is responsible for development and implementation of a continuum of pastoral services aimed at meeting the goals and objectives of the department. These services are available to all patients/residents/families and staff. The Chaplain communicates and provides liaison with the religious community. The Chaplain reports to the Director of Quality/ Risk Management.

Minimum Education

• Masters of Divinity degree and at least 4 units of CPE.
• Preferred board-certified Chaplain with Department of education approved Chaplaincy programs.
• One year of hospital residency preferred.

Required Licenses

• Maintain ecclesiastical endorsement/ordination credentials with Association of Professional Chaplains recognized regional or national denomination.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated initiative, ability to work with others, and good professional judgment.
• Ability to work independently and organize time effectively.
