Due to growth, we are currently hiring for an experienced individual to join our team as a ‘Tax Accountant (Enrolled Agent or CPA)’!

*Preferred Qualification(s):

- Enrolled Agent (E.A)

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

- CTEC-Registered Tax Preparer

 

Pay Rate: Starting at $62,000 to $72,000.00 per year (Depending on Experience)

 

Schedule: Full Time or Part Time Options

 

Office Location: Covina, CA (91723)

 

Job Description/Duties:

• Preparation of tax returns for Individual, Corporate, S-Corp, LLC/LLP Partnership; additional knowledge of Non-Profit, Estate and Trust Tax Returns, a plus.
• Advise clients based on a demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in advanced skills related to tax preparation and accounting.
• Preparing quarterly Payroll and Sales tax returns.
• Financial statement preparation.
• Skilled ability to perform QuickBooks bank account reconciliations.
• Analyze tax reporting agency notices.
• Actively engage in client services, as needed, and complete client requests in a timely basis.
• Be available for clients on specific tax issues or questions when required and communicate to appropriate personnel when important tax or accounting developments affect our clients.
• Actively engage with manager and staff on various projects regarding income tax preparation, financial statements, client development and questions.
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills.
• Ability to work overtime and available schedule through tax season, including weekends.

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ or more accounting and/ or tax experience.
• Preferred Qualification(s): Enrolled Agent (E.A), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CTEC-Registered Tax Preparer
• Strong working knowledge and experience in an accounting and/or bookkeeping role.
• Knowledge and background in accounting and bookkeeping; experienced and proficient in QuickBooks Bank Reconciliations, recording financial transactions on QuickBooks.
• Professional, well organized, detail-oriented skillset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong communication skills; must be open to active engagement with clients and staff, such as daily conversations, client meetings, etc.
• Must be able to work independently on client needs, but also contribute to overall team goals.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Positive energy level displays enthusiasm and is an active team member.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and on-time for scheduled workdays.
• Spanish Bilingual (Recommended – a plus)

 

Software Qualifications:

• Preferred: Strong Knowledge of Lacerte tax software.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
