Job Description

Vision Financial Group, a dynamic, holistic financial services company in Des Moines, is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Tax Preparer. The successful candidate will have an interest in tax work along with a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Experience in the financial services field is a plus but not required.

The responsibilities of this job include:

Tax Preparation and Entry:

• Prepare and accurately input simple to moderately complex tax data into appropriate software systems.
• Review financial records, statements, and relevant documents to ensure accuracy in tax filings.
• Assist with the preparation of tax planning estimates using tax planning software
• Verbal and written communication with clients and financial advisors concerning tax returns and tax planning documents and questions.
• Assist with quarterly filings

Documentation and Recordkeeping:

• Maintain thorough documentation of all tax-related information and filings for audit purposes.
• Organize and manage client records in a secure and accessible manner.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or working toward a degree, or equivalent experience required
• Experience with tax preparation desired
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Self-starter, problem solver, goal-oriented, and a team player
• Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills required
