Job Details
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
Conduct thorough research on tax issues, staying updated on changes in tax law, and provide guidance on complex tax matters to clients and internal team members.
Identify tax savings and opportunities for clients, offering recommendations for effective tax planning strategies.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and analyze financial data, identifying potential risks and developing proactive solutions.
Participate in tax audits by preparing documentation, liaising with authorities, and advising clients on best practices to minimize liabilities.
Mentor and support junior staff, assisting with technical questions and fostering a collaborative learning environment within the team.
Assist with special projects and ad hoc tax-related tasks as needed, including business planning, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and all applicable tax regulations and deadlines.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance technical knowledge and keep abreast of evolving tax regulations and industry standards.
