Position Title:  Trading Assistant

The trading assistant will be directly responsible for placing trades and money movements for an independent advisor franchisee with a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC.

Position Description:

Responsibilities

• Implement all transactions including, but not limited to, individual equities, mutual funds, ETFs, variable annuities, managed accounts and insurance products, as instructed by a licensed advisor
• Implement all money movement requests and ongoing money movement arrangements as instructed by a licensed advisor
• Perform account rebalances and portfolio changes as instructed by a licensed advisor
• Utilize industry standard tools including Thomson ONE, Morningstar Workstation, and other proprietary tools.
• Support the ongoing maintenance and development of the preferred investment providers.
• Provide required compliance documentation and monitor accounts for client account investment guidelines violations, updates and changes.
• Create reports and ad hoc documentation per advisor request
• Additional responsibilities to be added as initial job duties are mastered

• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to perform complex calculations and mathematical functions
• A working knowledge of investment concepts and products, such as mutual funds, exchange traded funds, unit investment trusts, structured notes, managed accounts and general financial markets.
• Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, and consistently follow high standards of business, professional ethics, and legal and regulatory requirements.
• Efficient time management
• Ability to quickly master new technology
• Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow

Education and Other Designations:

• College degree or higher preferred but not required
• Preferred but not required: Securities licenses Series 7 and Series 66
• Preferred but not required: background in financial services industry
