\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work on a 14-22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
\n• Medical/surgical patient ratio of 4:1
\n• Day shift includes charge nurse coordinator and 4-6 nurses, with preferred charge nurse free staffing
\n• Night shift includes charge nurse coordinator and 4-6 nurses, with preferred charge nurse free staffing
\n• Staff dependent on patient acuity and census
\n• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
\n• Preferred certification: ACLS
\n• Use Meditech EMR system
\n• Royal blue scrubs required
\n• May float to NICU level 1 or 2 only
\n• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend days every 4 weeks
\n• No on-call responsibilities
\n• Perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures
\n• Manage seizure patients and non-invasive cardiology cases
\n• Care for neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, thoracic surgery patients including thoracotomy/thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants
\n• No neurosurgery, stroke, or foreign body airway removal cases
\n• Supportive and collaborative team environment where everyone helps each other

\nThis specialized women's hospital provides comprehensive pediatric intensive care services in a state-of-the-art facility. Located on the 5th floor of the West tower, the PICU offers advanced medical care for critically ill children and infants. The facility maintains a full team environment focused on collaboration and support, with services spanning neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, and thoracic surgery specialties.
