Position Summary


This position must have a good sense of fun and a desire to entertain and excellent driving skills as they drive a tour bus on busy public streets while narrating a sightseeing tour multiple times a work shift. Tour Conductors bring to life the history of America and all the positive things that it represents.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Drive in a safe, competent manner a tour bus that is approximately 26 feet in length on busy public streets while entertaining guests by narrating a scripted sightseeing tour several times daily of approximately 1.5 - 2 hours each in duration.
• Meet and deal with the general public and divers company CAST in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Handle stressful situations and difficult people both in person and via the radio while maintaining a professional and pleasant composure.
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch during tours.
• Perform an interior and exterior physical inspection of the vehicle daily and accurately complete the departmental documents/forms for inspection.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid South Carolina Class C or higher CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• Acceptable driving record for the past three years.

Other Requirements

• Valid DOT physical required.
• Valid Charleston Tour Guide permit.
• Have a passion for helping people and making Charleston experience a memorable one.

Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search
