We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Finance to join our fast-growing start-up in the Real Estate industry. This position offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance and accounting to play a pivotal role in our company's growth and success. As the VP of Finance, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for managing all aspects of our financial operations. This is a unique opportunity for a Treasury or Controller looking to take the next step in their career with the potential to grow into a CFO role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the finance and accounting departments, ensuring all financial operations are conducted with integrity and transparency.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support the company's growth objectives.
- Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to set company-wide financial strategy and policy.
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Manage relationships with partners, stakeholders, and investors, and present financial reports and updates to the Board of Directors.
- Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.
- Lead the development and implementation of new financial systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company.
- Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the banking or lending industry.
- Proven experience as a leader in finance, with a strong track record of success in managing a company's financial operations.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent financial and accounting skills, including in-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
