About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all phases of multifamily reconstruction projects. The ideal candidate excels at coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe and organized job site. This role plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and aligned with all specifications and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Field Management

  • Coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, and consultants along the project’s critical path.
  • Manage scheduling, daily operations, and job site logistics across multiple projects.
  • Walk job sites daily to monitor progress and assist with future planning.
  • Open and secure job sites at the start and end of each day.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and support subcontractor hiring/vetting.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Oversee all work to ensure quality and specification compliance.
  • Confirm subcontractors execute their full contracted scope.
  • Identify and resolve construction conflicts or deviations from plans.
  • Ensure all deficiencies identified by the project team or EOR are corrected.
  • Identify work outside of contracted scope.

Inspections & Recordkeeping

  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs of job site activities.
  • Perform punch lists for job progress and closeout.

Safety & Site Standards

  • Enforce all safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
  • Lead weekly job site safety meetings and maintain accurate documentation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly manage all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on site.
  • Ensure adequate manpower and high-quality execution of all tasks.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient with communication tools (phone, email, logs, smartphone/tablet).
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs and navigate full job sites, including elevated areas.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices.
