1910 Genetics is a Series A stage biotechnology company that is pioneering a novel Input-Transform-Output (ITO) platform as the first ever horizontal AI infrastructure for drug discovery.

• Being the only biotech company helping pharma companies integrate 6 core areas of AI infrastructure.

Role Description

• Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer or Chief Data Officer, establish 1910’s standard IT best practices.
• Be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of IT projects to support 1910 goals.
• Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding tasks, along with being tasked with hardware management.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and manage the internal tooling they provide.
• Lead and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems.
• Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Identify and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support innovation.
• Plan and manage the installation of new organization-wide systems and applications for more specialized functions, assist departments in planning and executing the installation of new systems.
• Provides Tier I to III/other support per request from various constituencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a strategic IT leader, with at least 3 years in a VC backed tech or techbio AI native startup.
• 10 years of expertise in networking, systems administration, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• 10 years experience with implementing and managing IT support tools and ticketing systems.
• 10 years of extensive technical knowledge of Windows network/server architectures, Active Directory, M365, G-Suite, and Teams/SharePoint; knowledge of Linux a plus.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Cloud/Server technologies, M365, internal and voice networks.
• Experience with workforce management systems, ideally Rippling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple projects at once and maintain documentation and reporting.

• Excited about working onsite 5 days a week and leading a team that is onsite 5 days a week.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working for a biotechnology or healthcare company.
• Experience with lab systems and associated IT requirements, preferably in biotechnology or pharmaceutical research.
• Experience working for a small to mid-size startup organization.
