• Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (Illinois nursing jobs)\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site\n
• Start Date: December 30, 2025\n
• End Date: March 31, 2026\n
• Duration: 13-week contract\n
• Shift: Days, 5x8-hour shifts/week (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620–$2,690\n
• Call Requirements: One 12-hour shift/month (Saturday or Sunday, 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM)\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends/month)\n
• Floating: Mandatory float within 50 miles to support Chicago healthcare facilities\n
• Charting System: Cerner EMR\n
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue (provided)\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)\n
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the Operating Room (OR RN experience)\n
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required\n
• Strong scrub and circulate skills in surgical nursing\n
• Experience in orthopedic, orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery\n
• Preferred: Experience in neurosurgery (crani and spine), open heart/thoracic, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric, and gynecology\n
• COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n
• Must be responsive and able to meet compliance deadlines (lab work within 72 hours of accepting assignment)\n
• Locals accepted (must live within 75 miles of the facility)\n

\n\nOperating Room Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma Center\n
• Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures: orthopedic, trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgeries\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR\n
• Participate in on-call rotation and work every other weekend as required\n
• Float to other Chicago healthcare units within a 50-mile radius as needed\n
• Comply with hospital policies, compliance, and vaccination requirements\n
