Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 26-week Med/Surg Tele position requiring EPIC and BLS certification, with EKG testing during onboarding.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Primary patient population is med/surg with telemetry capability
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to other units or campuses as needed
• Patient ratio is approximately 1:6
• Possible charge nurse duties may be assigned
• Use of EPIC EMR is required
• Responsibilities include med/surg and telemetry care, blood product administration, peripheral IV management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, nasal cannula, and isolation precautions
• Rapid response team participation is part of the role
• Modules are completed during orientation, taking approximately 2-4 hours depending on the unit
• Scrub color or dress code requirements will be provided prior to start
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO is not accepted
• Holiday coverage is required per rotation schedule
• Candidates must be prepared for a zero-tolerance policy regarding tardiness and unexcused absences

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Must have completed education verified by a third party and not listed on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit
• No open cases on background check allowed
