Warehouse Associate - Order Picker (FT)

Hours/Days Required : 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday

Job Summary

Shades of Light is looking for an associate to join our Distribution Center team as a Forklift Operator. This individual would be responsible for the operation of an industrial lift truck (order picker/cherry picker) to efficiently move products to and from the racking system as directed by the DC Leadership Team while following safety protocol at all times.

Job Requirements

• Operate an industrial forklift (cherry picker) to move product between the warehouse floor and storage racks.
• Complete all necessary pre and post checks prior to operating or getting off the lift to ensure all safety protocols are being followed.

• Identify, dispose appropriately of, and alert management to any defective or damaged items.
• Communicate all safety issues and concerns you may observe to your supervisory or management team.
• Use a tablet and picklist to identify items in the racks and verify all information matches prior to pulling the item for distribution.
• Assist with all basic cleaning duties as needed to make sure the warehouse is operating in safe, clean, and orderly way.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications :

• High school, GED, or equivalent diploma
• 1 year of prior warehouse associate or forklift operator experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50lbs independently without accommodation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortability using basic computer programs and software, prior WMS experience is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
