Twin City Staffing is seeking an experienced  welding engineer  to support process development, quality, and continuous improvement within a growing manufacturing environment. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work, collaborating with multiple departments, and enhancing welding performance across production.

Location: Saint Paul, MN

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM start

Wage : $90,000 – $100,000/yr., depending on experience

Responsibilities of the welding engineer:

• Develop, qualify, and optimize welding processes and procedures (WPS, PQR, WQTR)
• Provide engineering support to fabrication and assembly teams using MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) processes
• Partner with design, production, and quality teams to improve weld quality and reduce defects
• Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues; lead corrective action efforts
• Support welder training, equipment selection, and robotic/automation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and company standards

Qualifications of the welding engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 3-7+ years of welding engineering experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
• Strong knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes and related metallurgy
• Familiarity with AWS, ASME, and other industry standards
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
